BFM is a program of Parts of Peace and exists to further our organization's mission to empower families in Baltimore by partnering with them to meet their basic needs and beyond. Modeling principles from the gift economy, BFM distributes high quality donations from popular retailers to those that need them in Baltimore. This program exists primarily to support community members with meeting their basic needs while also encouraging a sustainable approach to consumerism and environmentalism.

The BFM online marketplace is comprised of everyday goods. Some items are common, while others are more peculiar, however all of these items can make a difference for a family that needs them. The BFM Catalog includes items like clothing, appliances, cookware, bedding, shoes, baby items, shoes, bag, house goods, beauty items, electronics, appliances,  pet supplies and more.

Individual / Household
Membership

The goal of Free Market Baltimore is to increase access to every day goods for communities in Baltimore City. All items received from the Community Resource Center are free of charge.

*Our team is unable to deliver items. Items must be picked up from our office in Baltimore city. A pick-up appointment is required. We have contracted with a local third-party courier service to provide delivery to residents.

Most orders are delivered for a flat fee of $10-$15. (Items are free, delivery is not).

To receive items faster, you may also request to have items mailed (the fee for mailed orders varies and depends on the quantity and weight of items).

Some items are too large to ship or deliver and must be picked up.

Membership to the Free Market Baltimore is granted for a 1 year term. All members must submit an application that provides information about their household size as well as other information critical to ensuring that we are providing support to households that can most benefit from accessing the Baltimore Free Market.

At this time, the Free Market Baltimore is only available to Baltimore city residents. No exceptions can be made.
